Protections for Homeowners in Mobilehome Parks

Summary provided by California Association of Realtors:

A mobile home park, starting January 1, 2013,  must provide a personal property mobile home owner with a specified notice in the rental agreement for space, and before February 1 every year thereafter.

The new notice sets forth the mobile home owner’s rights and responsibilities, including the right to a 90-day notice of any rent increase, the right to not waive any rights in a rental or sales agreement, the right to just cause termination, the right to sell the home in place in the park, the right to not sell the home to the park, the right to not pay any transfer or selling fee, and the right to not use the park-approved broker or dealer.
